General mission:

The Experienced Legal Counsel is in charge as a lead lawyer for one or more Business Units (“BU”) and provides legal guidance, opinions and general legal support to all business units and/or corporate level in general.
He/She Has a safekeeping role with regard to safeguarding the company's contractual risk position. He/ She Is in charge of managing the insurance portfolio of the company. This includes all insurances except HR related insurances. He/She will report to the CLO.

Challenges we trust you with:

• Lead Lawyer for a Business Unit (either RPS or INDUS, worldwide without NAM) – ensures the necessary legal support is provided to the BU’s sales and operations teams
• Lead Lawyer for a Business Unit – Single Point of Contact for all general legal concerns of BU
• Give general legal assistance in all day-to-day legal issues to all the business units and corporate levels (insurance, finance, ...), on case by case basis
• Lead Lawyer for the company’s insurance portfolio – Single Point of Contact for all general legal/insurance concerns of the company
• Gives the required assistance in other projects such as non-BU-specific M&A projects, strategic partnerships etc. on a case by case basis
• Manages the litigations and instructs the outside counsels on a case by case basis
• Provides coaching or mentoring to junior or newly onboarded team members

You have:

• Master’s in law 
• Minimum 5 years professional experience as in-house counsel (experience in technology industry and strong knowledge of insurances are good assets)
• Exposure to international business environment
• Strong interest for medical technology industry environment
• Word & PowerPoint skills

 
You are:

• Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken- incl. legal language)
• Pro-active and pragmatic attitude
• Able to build and maintain relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external clients at all levels
• Attentive to detail and well organized
• A team player with strong negotiating and interpersonal skills (client facing) and you are able to work independently and autonomously
• Hands-on and able to take initiative putting the correct priorities
