The Field Service Manager is in charge of supervising the team responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of IBA’s equipment and systems in order to deliver, within defined timelines, a final reliable working product matching quality and performance requirements.
  • Manage the Flying Engineers Team located in the region in charge of HW and PMS subsystems
  • Coordinate and direct the Engineers’ assignments with the region of IBA’s Proton Therapy Centers
  • Supervise the team planning and the related resources needed, according to contracts, in compliance with the required level of quality and technical performances
  • Analyze technical issues, escalate them, propose and implement solutions
  • Develop the team, measure performance and ensure appropriate training
  • Ensure that every engineer is certified or in the process of being certified
  • Act as an interface and a facilitator with all involved departments
  • Document and report the team achievements with the required details and accuracy
  • Define & improve processes linked to the Field Service team
  • Maintain a close collaboration with your peers based in other regions in order to keep processes aligned
  • Ensure that the Safety, Health and Environmental policies are followed by the team, and collaborate with EHS department on these aspects when relevant.
  • Oversees the capacity planning function for multiple sites. 
  • Coordinates in-sourcing activities as well as outsourcing activities with PT Services Scheduler and Logistics to ensure downtime maintains at zero.  
  • Monitors, analyzes, tunes, and implements necessary changes in service resource utilization
  • Define and execute plan to deliver within budget and deadlines.
  • Follow up of operational budget (cost, revenues and internal projects)
  • Reforecast, cash flows invoicing are monitored and managed
·Identify areas for process improvement and initiate organizational synergies
  • Process improvement are implemented Synergies between regions service departments and teams
·Identify areas for process improvement and initiate optimization projects
  • Manage the service calibration between regions, and its daily operations to maximize benefits for the BU and region.
  • Have a strong people management mindset, proven leadership skills and experience managing a team
  • Be able to motivate, support and empower people
  • Present a powerful and positive professional image to the team
  • Constantly work with a solution focused approach, striving to determine what are the best actions needed to complete the team's assignments
  • Be rigorous while flexible and open to different ideas and views
  • Strong communication skills based on active listening
  • Use diplomacy in negotiating in order to reach ideal agreements with involved stakeholdersque
  • Proficient in English (written & spoken)





Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in electronics/electrical system troubleshooting required
  • Working near a Proton Therapy site, and near a major airport is preferred; willing to consider candidates near a smaller airport if located on East coast or Midwest.
  • Must be willing to work on-site during non-travel periods
  • Candidate must have experience in several of the following fields: Cooling systems, vacuum systems, PLC’s, regulation loops, drivers, sensors, positioning equipment, electric motors, high voltage equipment, low voltage equipment
  • Electromechanical system repair, maintenance and operations of large systems considered a plus
