Maintain proton system in compliance with safety and regulatory rules. Adhere to the EHS (environment, health and safety) rules to avoid incident. Install and test equipment according to specifications. Adjust and fine-tune subsystems according the requirements of the procedures. Ensure factory and site acceptance Tests ( UT, VT, IT, OF control) as well as non-regression tests are fulfilled with the required level of compliance/safety/quality/technical performance. Maintain equipment/systems according to the maintenance schedule. Ensure maintenance of hardware and software subsystems is fulfilled with the required level of compliance/quality/technical performance. Repair equipment/systems taking all necessary actions to solve problems. Train customer to use properly and safely equipment/systems. Act as a technical owner of a site according to area competencies including the Therapy Safety System (TSS). Report and document interventions and actions undertaken with the required level of details and accuracy. Ensure efficient reporting is available on time for the management and interventions are properly documented in the systems. Report and document problems in Bugzilla and resolve bugs. Participate in design review. Operate the installed site systems on daily basis.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of study, and 3 years of experience with particle accelerators, complex medical equipment architecture specific to radiation therapy, and operating and repairing safety systems associated with radiation therapy as a Hardware/Service Engineer. Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: therapy Safety Systems specific to proton beam radiation system; operating Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and 24 VDC relay logic circuits; operating, maintaining and repairing treatment safety equipment in accordance with ISO standards; and working in radiation control areas in accordance with global standards.
