Headquartered in Europe and employing more than 1,400 people worldwide, IBA currently operates in more than 40 countries across North America, Europe, and Asia. North America has an organization of 275 employees.
 
This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager who has a passion for people. This position is based in Northern Virginia and will report directly to the company headquarters in Europe. The HR Manager will be responsible for the execution of the corporate HR policies for the North American employees including but not limited to: performance management, compensation and benefits, payroll, leadership development and training, succession planning, recruitment, and retention.
 
Missions we trust you with:
 
  • Partner with senior leadership to create a culture that supports the strategy for business growth
  • Execute the strategic direction of global HR including implementation of high value HR processes
  • Serve as “bridge-builder” between North America and global HQ in Belgium, Brussels
  • Manage benefit administration, payroll, international mobility, recruiting, talent management, compliance, immigration, training and development, compensation, and HRIS for North America. Coordinates regional HR activities and manages a small but robust HR Team
  • Responsible for all employee relations issues and provides direction to the organization regarding company policies and procedures
  • Provides guidance and support to standardize the execution of Human Resources processes and procedures (e.g. policies, the performance management process is defined globally and is standardized locally)
  • Partners with management, manages training needs analysis, role development, and coaching to build capability
  • Provides support in building cross functional and high performing teams
  • Analyzes organizational effectiveness and suggests improvements, implements organizational development practices, and recommends workforce planning strategies
  • Ensures regulatory compliance related to HR records and practices

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably with HR Certifications
  • 8 years + of experience in HR preferably in an international, matrixed technology/engineering environment
  • Proven people management skills and ability to work with people at all levels
  • Good understanding of cultural differences and organizational dynamics within an international company.
  • Pragmatic and hands-on attitude with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Highly ethical with strong integrity, valuing transparency and ability to discern when to escalate topics and decisions
  • Analytical and data-driven
