IBA has its own installed base of existing proton therapy centers (more than 25 today). Many centers treat patient every day for a while and require some upgrade and updates on their system in order to keep their system up to date. As the technologies evolve, upgrades and updates often require many adaptation of the product and R&D to fit the equipment on site.
You will be part of the - Proton therapy services – Service Engineering Team (SE) within our Proton Therapy Business Line. As Proton Therapy Service Engineering Project Team Manager, you manage the daily activities as well as the overall strategy for a team of Project Managers whom will manage the upgrade and update projects for our proton therapy centers already installed (installed base).

The upgrade projects typically range from € 100.000 up to € 2 million in revenue and are located across the world with a quick delivery cycle (6 to 24 months) in a growing business and with a significant impact on business line results and customer satisfaction. This covers HW & SW part of the system and could be linked to any part of the system from the beam production to the beam delivery in the treatment room.

As Proton Therapy Service Engineering Project Team Manager, your responsibilities will have in charge to:
  • Lead your team in line with company objectives, IBA standards and ethics
  • Participate as part of the management team of Proton Therapy – Service Engineering
  • Manage the team leading projects from customer order until acceptance of the upgrade equipment on site in accordance with the standard procedures
  • Be accountable for ensuring all projects are delivered within quality, time and budget constraints to a satisfied customer
  • Ensure that the PM team provides on time and accurate reporting and communication to the management and customers
  • Be accountable for the entire process for development and documentation in order to deliver complete package of upgrade and its validation to recurrently install to several customers.
  • Provide strategic vision and coaching to the PM team regarding continuous improvements for the Design & Development, as well as other Project Management processes.
  • Manage the department’s development roadmap in close collaboration with vendor and clinical experts in order to develop and deliver upgrades for existing Particle Therapy customer.
  • Report and document global activities, improvement plans and undertaken actions with the required level of details and accuracy
  • Report KPI(s), analyze data, identify areas of improvements and propose action plans





You have:
  • A master degree in engineering or industrial sciences
  • Between 5 and 8 years of experience in project management in an international and multicultural environment , preferably with an experience in industrial environment
  • Ideally 5 years people management experience in an international industrial environment;
  • You have proven strong people management skills
  • You are an assertive person with strong interpersonal skills, able to drive change
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and MS Project, knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills in English. French is an asset
  • An analytical mind
  • PMI Certification is an asset
And you are:
  • Able and willing to lead, coach and motivate a team
  • Fascinated by new technologies, having a broad technical knowledge and willing to update it continuously
  • Client minded with strong interpersonal and excellent people management skills
  • Flexible and stress resistant with very good planning & organizing skills
  • Able to organize your work autonomously and enjoy taking initiatives
  • Willing to travel internationally for short missions, up to 5% of working time
