As a data analyst in the Data Factory team, you will work alongside data analysts/scientists and data engineers to support IBA’s change towards a data-driven company. We want to empower employees with data to help them become more efficient and make informed decisions. We are therefore working on two pillars: (1) enabling self-service analytics by making data available in a state-of-the-art data warehouse for reporting; and (2) improving our operations with advanced analytics (incl. AI and machine learning).
 
SAP is a critical source of data at IBA but so far, SAP data was only available to experts with strong knowledge of SAP solutions. As we are upgrading our capabilities with SAP (migrating SAP BW 7.5 to SAP BW/4HANA), we want to democratize the access to SAP and increase business impact.
The data analyst will be the interface between business stakeholders and data engineers. He/she will capture needs related to logistics, project, finance and HR, understand the data structure in SAP and translate these needs into development requirements for our data engineers. In addition, he/she will develop an expertise with Power BI application and support report creators who need to use SAP data.

As a Data Analyst with focus on SAP data, your responsibilities will be to:  

• Act as a bridge between business and IT, responsible for requirement analysis and solution definition of dashboarding and reporting solutions using SAP BW/4HANA and Power Bi mostly, as well as Analysis for Office, SAP Analytics Cloud and Web Intelligence when need be
• Help business in report and dashboard realization
• Define and improve the data governance, especially when it comes to SAP tools usage
• Define and improve documentation and data catalog
• Share best practices and act as an evangelist to promote a data culture

You have the following experience:

• At least 3 years of experience as SAP business analyst or a data analyst using SAP BW
• Good understanding of SAP data model, with a focus on MM, SD, MDM, FI/CO, PS, QM, PP modules. Knowledge of SuccessFactor is an asset.
• Strong experience with Power BI application and willingness to improve your knowledge of the tool
• Experience migrating SAP BW to SAP BW/4HANA is an asset
• Understanding of technical aspects of SAP BW is an asset (e.g. design of ETL and process chains, data modeling, query design, authorizations implementation)
• Any certification in SAP data technologies (SAP BW, HANA, BO) is considered an asset

• Proactive and willing to share ideas to help the team grow
• Fluent in French and English
